Major scale pattern complete
After memorizing the previous scale patterns, you should be able to 'see' the entire fretboard as one pattern for the major scale. This will allow for greater freedom of movement.
The roots or tonic are indicated by the empty circles and are for the major scale (i.e Ionian mode).
The modes of this scale pattern will be addressed in the future.
Next we will discuss the Minor Scale.
